Haunt Box: A Poetry Collection [Victoria Betzel, Sarah Herrin, Kristy Webster, Lori Garrett] on Amazon.com.
Three colleagues and I have officially published our poetry anthology! It’s 90 pages and contains chapter artwork by each of us. The cover art was done by me. It’s available on Amazon by searching the title Haunt Box. Please share and thanks for your support!
Here is an example poem by yours truly:
The Hanged Man
Trapped in limbo,
Floating in dead space.
Time no longer travels;
Only tangible and tasteless.
Invisible cage of cold suspense,
Claw marks in gelatin fabric.
Barefoot and defenseless;
Reeling in and out of dreams.
Master of Silence,
Magician of Duality.
Lift these heavy chains.
Ripping the plastic,
Breaking out of limbo.
I’m alive and breathless;
Floating free in the endless dark.
Lacoste Sketchbook Pg 38 - a sample of the kind of things that will go in the sketchbook: environments as well as figure drawing, digitally painted.
French Love Affair
I’ve finally finished scanning my France & Italy sketchbooks. The plan is to digitally paint some images, enhance others, and arrange them in a book that can be printed and distributed. Still a lot of work to do, but it’s been a long time coming…
"Coco" is a novella that tells the story of two families; the Trozco’s and the Fabo’s and the two children that set the destiny of both families in motion. Sammy Fabo and Maribel Trozco are born on the same night, at the exact same hour and minute. However, the two children couldn’t have less in common. Sammy is born with an exceptional beauty, both hypnotic and devastating, yet Sammy has also entered the world with an already broken heart. Maribel is a child full of joy, a heart redder and more loving than most, but she has also been "cursed" with a birth defect: a third arm, that Maribel later names "Coco."
Yeeaaaahhhhhhh! My bestie finally published her amazingly beautiful novella! You won’t regret throwing some cash at this! ;)
